The Arts are Heating Up in Johns Creek!
Read about the hot hot hot summer offerings the arts has available to our area residents, all inside nice cool facilities!
Well, "the heat is on" as the song says! And that is certainly true as it pertains to the arts in Johns Creek! Have you seen the series of articles just over the past three weeks pertaining to several of our arts organizations? What? You haven't? Well, while you might be sweltering outside, let me tell you what's been going on and just how you can keep cool inside this summer.
First, there were an excellent series of articles on The Dancing Goat Theatre, operated by Performing Arts North, in both the Johns Creek Herald and The Atlanta Journal Constitution. (PAN includes The Shakespeare Studio, which I'm sure you've heard about by now!) Located in the Johns Creek Arts & Design Center at 10700 State Bridge Road (just past the intersection with Jones Bridge Road), this newly opened black box theatre will host a regular series of productions throughout the summer months. They are in rehearsals right now for The Taming of the Shrew which opens June 10. Yes, in a nice COOL theater.
Second, there was a wonderful article about The Chopin Society of Atlanta. Dorota Lato and her husband, pianist Piotr Folkert have just opened a music school in that same center called Musik21. They offer piano lessons along with a wide array of other musical options including summer camps for the kids. They also sell a magnificant line of pianos along with other instruments. All in their nice COOL business.

Third there was a lengthy article on the Johns Creek Arts Center in the Johns Creek Herald and their summer camp offerings. It is amazing the amount of classes and camps available for both adults and students to be held throughout the summer! And this year they have expanded into musical theater and some other areas. Yup, all held in their nice COOL studios!!
So, don't complain about how hot it is outside, come on in and do something fun this summer in Johns Creek. Yes, the inside is cool but make no mistake, the arts are HOT HOT HOT right here in your community.
