Brooks Brothers, Peek Boutique Commit To Phase II of Avalon
The grand opening of Phase I of the $600 million mixed use development in Alpharetta is set for Oct. 30.

As the opening date draws closer for Phase I of Avalon, a $600 million mixed-use development in Alpharetta, North American Properties is moving forward with plans for Phase II. The company recently secured commitments from Lilly Pulitzer, Brooks Brothers and Peek Boutique, who will be joined by 12 more retailers and three restaurants in Phase II, the company announced in a press release.
North American Properties has already had tremendous success with Phase I of Avalon, which opens Oct. 30.

With only 10 weeks until the grand opening, the retail space is 97 percent leased and more than 5,000 people are on a reserve list for 250 luxury rentals and 101 single-family homes, the company said in its press release .
“I’m confident the development of Phase II of Avalon will contribute mightily to the community, completing our vision of creating an unparalleled walkable, experiential environment,” said Mark Toro, managing partner of North American Properties. “With Phase II, we are reaffirming our promise to Alpharetta and the surrounding communities to conceive and deliver one of the most innovative projects in the U.S.”

Key features of Phase II include:
- 90,000 square feet of upscale retail shops and restaurants
- A 250,000 square foot Class A office building over retail
- 276 luxury rental homes over retail
- A 300,000 square foot freestanding Class A office building
- 325-key full-service hotel and conference center
North American Partners recently submitted the rezoning application for Phase II, reinforcing the company’s commitment to completing the landmark project on time. The Alpharetta Planning Commission and City Council is scheduled to hold public hearings regarding Avalon in September. Upon completion, Avalon will create more than 4,000 retail, service and white-collar jobs.
Phase I of Avalon includes 250 luxury rental homes, 101 single-family homes, 400,000 square feet of retail and restaurants and 108,000 square feet of loft office space.
