CALLING ALL SINGERS! CALLING ALL SINGERS! The JCSO WANTS YOU!

Dear Friends,
Tis the season! Ok, well, perhaps it isn't quite "the season" yet, but soon it will be. What season? The Holiday Season, of course! Just the other day, Walmart announced it's plans for their holiday layaway program and it's only August!!! It's important to plan early and that is exactly what we are doing at the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra. But we need YOUR help.

We are thrilled to announce our premiere performance of Handel's Messiah-the Christmas Portion on Saturday, December 21, 8:00pm in the beautiful sanctuary of Johns Creek United Methodist. Yes, we have already engaged the professional soloists, the orchestra and the harpsichordist who just happens to be the principal keyboard/harpsichordist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. How about that!

Now we need you. If you are a good choral singer who can navigate an audition to demonstrate your ability to navigate Handel, then we want you to audtion. Messiah is nothing without the chorus, and we know you will make it a most glorious musical experience! Please email us at info@johnscreeksymphony.org or call 678-748-5802 right away. Audtions are September 7th and 14th and we need to send you the information to get you started.

Do I sound excited about this performance, you betcha! I spent many wonderful years singing as part of the "Messiah Choir" ( as we were known), in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center as a member of Masterworks Chorus & Orchestra. It was the most remarkable musical experience of my life. To think that we can now make that happen here, in Johns Creek, is just a thrill I cannot put into words.

So that's why I want YOU to contact us, please! We'll answer any of your questions and help you setup a time to audition. And tell your fellow singers, spread the news. This glorious music is meant to be shared. You know you want to!!
