Candidates Get Pro-Life 'Certification' From Organization
Four Republicans in the 6th Congressional District race have received the designation from the Georgia Life Alliance.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Four Republican contenders in the April 18 special election to fill a vacant House of Representatives seat have been certified as pro-life candidates from an organization opposed to abortion rights.
Bob Gray, Karen Handel, Keith Grawert and William Llop, all received the designation from the Georgia Life Alliance.
The four are among the 18 qualified candidates who are seeking to fill the Georgia Congressional District 6 seat, which covers north Fulton and parts of Cobb and DeKalb counties.

Each candidate was asked to fill out a questionnaire asking if they were opposed to abortion in general. They were also asked specifics, such as if they would consider exceptions like such as rape, incest or if a mother's health is at risk; if they'd support changing current laws to allow state legislatures to limit or prohibit abortions; and consider prohibiting human embryos from being used for experiments.

Gray further expanded upon his anti-abortion stance by releasing a web advertisement recounting he and his wife's struggles with having children. The couple took the in vitro-fertilization route, and ended up with roughly two dozen embryos.

Rather than donating them to science, which Gray said was "effectively abortion" since life begins at conception, the family partnered with an organization where they were matched with couples struggling to conceive.
The Grays subsequently donated their embryos to Greg and Cara Vest, a story that was documented on ABC's Primetime.
“This is something that is near and dear to our hearts and something my family will always fight for," Gray said.
