Career Center To Host Airport Training Center Job Recruitment

The North Fulton Career Center in Sandy Springs will host the recruitment by Airport Employment and Training Center.

The North Fulton Career Center on Monday will host an Airport Employment and Training Center recruitment.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 27 at at 7741 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. AETC staff will be recruiting potential employees for the following positions: luggage/cart agents, custodians, several entry-level positions, bilingual customer service agents and floor technicians.

Luggage/Cart Agents

  • Requirements: Employees will be lifting heavy and/or large bags 75 pounds or more, making repetitive lifts, standing for long periods, performing extended reaches while lifting heavy baggage and must be flexible to work all shifts. High school diploma or GED required; No visible tattoos; No cosmetic gold teeth; Previous customer service experience and must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Custodians

  • Requirements: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Airport Concourses in which they will work by performing various cleaning duties. Cleaners are required to secure the necessary tools needed to perform their task at the beginning of his/her shift. Duties and hours may vary dependent upon the size of the building and the number of teammates they may be working with; Candidates must have minimum 1-year custodial experience; Candidate must also be able to read, write and use a computer and applicants must be able to pass the Computer Generated Security Badge Test. Second and third shifts only: 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. or 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Entry Level Positions

  • Requirements: Candidates must be able to read, write and use a computer; You must be able to PASS the Computer Generated Security Badge Test. Must have an impressive personality, love to communicate with people and have the desire to serve; Have a High School Diploma or GED; Have no visible Tattoos; No Cosmetic Gold Teeth and must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test. Shifts: Must be available to work all shifts.
  • Candidates who are not flexible to work all shifts will not be considered for employment.

Bilingual Customer Service Agents

  • Requirements: Will provide accurate and courteous information to the traveling and general public visiting Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (the “Airport”); Provide information about the Airport’s facilities, amenities, and services, including escort services; Coordinate any assistance that may be needed to move people through the Airport; Participate in keeping airport “Opening Day Fresh;” Provide directions and information in the Transportation Mall areas; Provide Security checkpoint Queue Management; Candidate must be able to understand English well in order to assist passengers; Have the ability to decipher how to help passengers who speak little or no English; Bilingual candidates are a plus.
  • This position will go through two extensive interviews. Candidates must also be able to read, write and use a computer in both languages.
  • Applicants must be able to pass the Computer Generated Security Badge Test. Language of Interests: Romanian, Serbian, Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish Portuguese or Arabic.

Floor Technicians

  • Requirements: Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of carpets and floors in the airport by operating electrically powered rotary floor machines such as scrubber and buffer machines weighing at least 50 pounds; Applicant must be able to strip wax and polish a variety of floor surfaces, such as wood, marble, terrazzo, linoleum, and vinyl and asphalt tile; Controls direction of machine with a pulling and pushing motion; Work other assigned areas while following safety guidelines and policies. Will be given pop quiz if called in for an interview.
  • Must have 2 years of experience and performed job within the last 12 months. Third shift only: 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
