Hooch's Cavanaugh signs to play Lacrosse at Lenoir-Rhyne

Chattahoochee High School’s Kaitlyn Cavanaugh has signed a national letter of intent to play lacrosse for Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. Lenoir-Rhyne is a member of the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Conference.

Cavanaugh has been a starting attacker on Chattahoochee’s varsity team since freshman year. In the 2017 and 2019 seasons she was selected for All-State, in the 2018 and 2019 seasons was the offensive player of the year and leads the current team in goals and assists. Katie has coached youth girl’s lacrosse at Newtown Park for seven years. Katie played travel lacrosse with the Eagle Stix Club for eight years.
