The CCRPI is Georgia’s statewide accountability system that replaced No Child Left Behind's Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) measurement after the U.S. Department of Education granted Georgia’s waiver from NCLB in 2012.

CCRPI measures schools and school districts on a 100-point scale, helping parents and the public to better understand how schools are performing in a more comprehensive manner than the pass/fail system previously in place under AYP.

A school and district’s overall score is made up of three major areas: Achievement (50 points possible), Progress (40 points possible) and Achievement Gap (10 points possible).

In Fulton County, the 2015 CCRPI scores averaged as 74.7 for the entire district, 78.0 for elementary schools, 71.5 for middle schools and 72.1 for high schools.

For Georgia, the statewide average was 75.5, 76 for elementary schools, 71.2 for middle schools and 75.8 for high schools. The system states most of its schools scored above the state average, however.

Due to changes made by the GaDOE in the calculation of CCRPI for 2015, making a valid comparison to previous years’ scores is not possible, the school system notes. These changes include a new assessment system (Georgia Milestones), changes in category weights, and recalculated performance targets.

More information about CCRPI, including individual scores for the system and Fulton County schools, an be found on the Georgia Department of Education’s website.
