Chattahoochee High Student Among-150 Chosen As Coke Scholar
Chattahoochee High student Akash Rudra was named one of 150 students chosen nationwide as a Coke Scholar from a pool of 95,000 applicants.
JOHNS CREEK, GA -- A Johns Creek student was one of 150 chosen as a 2019 Coke Scholar. The Coca-Cola Scholars will each receive a $20,000 college scholarship and join a family of 6,150+ alumni who are leading positive change in their communities and around the world.
Chattahoochee High School student Akash Rudra was recently named as one of the students chosen nationwide.
The entire class of Scholars will attend the 2019 Scholars Weekend April 4-7 for a time of inspiration, fun and camaraderie. Scholars will be honored at Coca Cola's 31st annual Scholars Banquet and participate in its Leadership Development Institute, an intensive leadership training during Scholars Weekend that challenges them to develop an inside-out leadership philosophy.

Students chosen to be Coca-Cola Scholars are "exceptional high school students who are dedicated to leadership, service, and action that positively affects others," according to the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
This year, the 150 finalists from a pool of more than 95,000 applicants.

Students are eligible to apply to become Coca-Cola Scholars if they graduate during the current academic year and plan to attend a post-secondary institution.
The 2019 Scholars will join 6,150 Coca-Cola Scholars alumni named over 30 years. Scholars go on to attend schools such as Harvard, Stanford, Duke, Yale and Princeton. Top career paths for scholars are business and finance, education, healthcare, arts, entertainment, sports and law.
