Chattahoochee Quiz Bowl Teams Preparing For Nationals
Chattahoochee High School will send two teams to the National Scholastic Championship on Saturday, June 2.

JOHNS CREEK, GA - From PACE: Two teams from Chattahoochee High School will be competing at the National Scholastic Championship on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3. NSC will be held in Reston, Virginia at the Hyatt Regency Reston.
Chattahoochee quiz bowlers will compete against more than 90 other high school teams from around the country and the world. Chattahoochee’s A team took 8th place at the tournament last year, and the B team took 45th. Expectations are high again, with Chattahoochee A ranking 17 th in the nation in this year’s pre-nationals rankings, and Chattahoochee B ranking 45th.
Chattahoochee's team is composed of senior Soham Kulkarni and juniors Andy Luo, Mihir Paramesh and Harrison Zhu. Chattahoochee B's team is composed of sophomores Foster Michaelis and Sanjeev Uppaluri and freshmen Jason Luo and Akshay Patwardhan. Quizbowl is an academic competition played between two teams of up to 4 players. Players buzz in on questions, which cover a wide range of academic topics including literature, history, science, and the arts. Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence (PACE), founded in 1996 by a volunteer group of players and coaches, has been promoting high school quizbowl for nearly 20 years.
