Chattahoochee Wins Varsity State Academic Bowl

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – The Chattahoochee High School Academic Team won the Georgia Academic Team Association’s Varsity State Academic Bowl March 25 at Flowery Branch High School.

The Hooch team swept the tournament with a 6-0 record, outscoring opponents by an average of 525-165.

This makes the eighth state academic team title for Chattahoochee, including four consecutive state championships the last four years.

Team members include captain Tej Guttikonda, Ashwin Ramaswami, Aditi Choudhury, Abhinav Kumar and Kevin Huang. All are seniors except Huang, who is a junior. They are coached by Mike Mathis.
