Child, 6, Holds Fundraiser To Purchase Bulletproof Vest for Police K-9
The event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Lakefield Shopping Center at 6955 McGinnis Ferry Road in Johns Creek.

Caden Kelly, 6, loves dogs and has always wanted to do something to help other dogs in his community.
To demonstrate his love for Man’s Best Friend, Caden, who has a Britney spaniel and chow shepherd of his own, has launched a community service project to help a dog that risks her life to protect residents like himself.

On Saturday, Caden will host a fundraiser to raise money to help purchase a bulletproof fest for Kyra, a K-9 officer with the Johns Creek Police Department.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lakefield Shopping Center at 6955 McGinnis Ferry Road in Johns Creek. Residents and their children will be able to enjoy kids activities, free board breaking and karate classes, free pizza and K-9 demonstrations.

Caden has already raised $1,000 and hopes to bring in another $400 by Saturday, said Karate USA Founder and Executive Director David Bartow.
The center is helping coordinate the fundraiser with Caden. All funds will go towards the purchase of the vest. Any excess money will be donated to the Humane Society.
