City Barbeque Johns Creek To Open June 25

The restaurant will open in the former Applebee's location at 4120 Johns Creek Parkway in Suwanee.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — City Barbeque will open its second metro Atlanta location later this month along Johns Creek Parkway just outside the city. The second location at 4120 Johns Creek Parkway will open June 25, with a grand opening celebration planned for June 30.

This location, situated at the corner of Peachtree Parkway in Forsyth County, will be the company's 39th restaurant across the country. It opened its first metro Atlanta outpost in Decatur in September 2017.

The Johns Creek Parkway location has been remodeled from its former Applebee's restaurant. The 5,000-square-foot location will seat 88 guests, with up to 30 on the patio. There is also a meeting/party room with audio/visual presentation capability that can hold about 50 people.

City Barbeque employees wake up early to make Atlanta’s best barbecue, slow-smoking award-winning meats and crafting homemade sides and desserts. Three onsite smokers will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure an endless supply of delicious barbecue, which can also be catered all over Atlanta.

City Barbeque has also partnered with a different local nonprofit organization every day of their opening week. Each organization will receive 25 percent of that day’s sales when guests mention that organization when ordering. On June 30, it will celebrate its grand opening by donating 10 percent of the day’s sales to The Variety of Georgia, a local charity dedicated to assisting the treatment and care for children with special needs.

City Barbeque's hours of operation will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit citybbq.com or check out its Facebook page.
