City To Fill In Sidewalk Gaps On Parsons Road

The five segments are located along an elementary school walking route and near several religious institutions.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Johns Creek leaders at their Nov. 13 City Council meeting gave the green light to install five sidewalk segments along Parsons Road. These segments currently do not have sidewalks on either side of the road, and the project would fill in a gap in the sidewalk network.

The segments are along an elementary school walking route and near several religious institutions. The five-project sections include 5-foot wide sidewalks at:

  • Parsons Road south side from Wake Forest Run to Stonefield Landing (1,500 linear feet).
  • Highgate Manor Court west side from Parsons Road to Branham Fields Road (230 linear feet)
  • Parsons Road northeast side from Abbotts Bridge Road to Hampstead Way (1,900 linear feet)

Council members approved the sidewalk priority list earlier this year. The Parsons Road sidewalk gaps are currently ranked number 4, 5, 16, 30 and 58 on the priority list. The gaps have been grouped together as one project to complete a sidewalk network along Parsons Road. View the sidewalk rankings and policy.
