Comprehensive Plan Workshop Scheduled For Nov. 10

Johns Creek's Comprehensive Plan, first adopted in 2008, will undergo an update over the next several months.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The city of Johns Creek wants you to get connected, involved and provide your input throughout its Comprehensive Plan update.

Adopted in 2008, the City’s Comprehensive Plan will undergo an update throughout the next several months and we need the community to get involved. The plan, which includes the city’s vision for the future and strategies for achievement, encompasses transportation planning, policy objectives, future development, issues and opportunities, long-range activities and more.

Citizens are encouraged to attend a planning workshop scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday Nov. 10 at Johns Creek City Hall, which is located at 12000 Findley Road.

And, kids can get involved! The city will provide children (ages 8 and older) the opportunity to “build” a future Johns Creek using the interactive computer game, Minecraft, during public meetings. Please have your child(ren) bring their own laptop device. Details on this initiative can be found here.

Besides the public meetings, adults can play the Johns Creek Planning 101 Game. Build your ideal city block by block within the grid and share your creation with the city. Information about this game can be located here.
