With more than 120 registrants for the race held April 21, many dressed in costumes and running in neighborhood or family teams, the Country Club of the South neighborhood was full of energy the morning of the race.

The morning got off to a start with a pre-race stretch conducted by CrossFit Remnant. Local resident and event MC, Dean DelVecchio, got participants organized and energized for their race, which got underway shortly after 8 a.m.

A brief 28 minutes later, the race winner, Mike Gover, crossed the finish line. Second place runner was 11-year-old Jay Issacs and third place went to Michelle Kilgess.

The money raised will go to the Charity Guild grant recipients for 2015-2016 year:

These metro-Atlanta organizations help families in need, “we are proud to be working with these organizations and we applaud the fantastic work they do in our community,” the guild stated.
