Registration Deadline is Saturday for Citizens Police Academy

Attention, Johns Creek residents: You only have four days left to sign up for the upcoming Citizens Police Academy.

Registration closes for the academy on Saturday June 15 for the nine-week course that starts in August.

The course will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m each Tuesday starting Aug. 13 through Oct. 8. Sessions will touch on criminal investigations, internal affairs, narcotics, crime scene investigations, community services, K-9 and SWAT demonstrations and practical exercises in traffic enforcement and firearms.

Those interested can download the application and criminal history forms or get them at Johns Creek Police Department at 11445 Johns Creek Parkway.
