National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drug​s.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- If you have leftover or extra medications are taking up space in your cabinet, the Johns Creek Police Department will take it off your hands.

Bring any prescription and non-prescription drugs to Target, 5950 State Bridge Rd, on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. No liquids or sharps/needles are accepted. This is a free service.

According to the 2017 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
