Early Voting Held Nov. 25-27 In Johns Creek
There will be a runoff elections for three Johns Creek City Council seats after no candidate took majority of votes.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Early voting for the Dec. 3 General Municipal Runoff Election will be held Monday, Nov. 25 to Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Early voting locations will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and include:
- College Park Historical Building, 3675 Auditorium Way, College Park
- East Roswell Branch Library, 2301 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell
- Park Place at Newtown, 3125 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek
- Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street, Roswell
- South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park
View the Nov. 5 election results. None of the Johns Creek City Council candidates took a majority of the votes in the Nov. 5 election therefore all three posts will head to a runoff election:

- Post 2: Brian Weaver, Dilip Tunki
- Post 4: Chris Coughlin, Marybeth Cooper
- Post 6: Erin Elwood, Issure C. Yang
For Johns Creek City Council Post 2, Brian Weaver who received 3,253 votes will face Dilip Tunki who received 2,160 votes in a runoff. The third candidate Royce Reinecke took 1,696 votes.
Johns Creek Post 4 incumbent Chris Coughlin received 3,319 votes, and will face Marybeth Cooper, who had 1,342 votes, in a runoff. Other candidates Adam Thomas had 1,288 votes and Kent Altom with 1,052 votes.

Johns Creek Post 6 saw three vying for the seat, and Erin Elwood took 2,700 votes and will face Issure C. Yang, who had 2,258 votes, in a runoff. The third candidate Judy LeFave took 2,076 votes.
Out of the 325,889 registered voters in the Nov. 5 Fulton County races, 38,936 voted, or nearly 12 percent.
Municipal Elections are non-partisan and held in accordance with Title 2 of the Georgia Election Code. Candidates run at-large and are voted on by the registered voters; the candidate who receives the majority of votes cast wins their respective seat. Public officials have staggered four-year terms in Johns Creek, with elections every two years (Post 2, 4 and 6) and (Post 1, 3, 5 and mayor).
In 2018, the Johns Creek city charter was changed legislatively to reflect term limits for elected officials. Effective with the 2019 elections, neither the mayor nor council member shall serve for more than three consecutive terms, four-year terms of office and shall not include any partial terms of office. In addition, no terms of office served prior to January 1, 2020 and no terms of office served as council member shall be considered in determining if a person has served more than three consecutive terms of office.
