Open non-equity auditions for Froggie Went A' Courtin', a children's musical melodrama based on the Froggie Went A' Courtin' song. Please be prepared to do cold readings from the script. Also be prepared to sing 16 bars from the song of your choice. You may bring a CD. All the music is from the 1890's. This show is written and directed by Wally and Jeannie Hinds and will run at the Dancing Goat from May 11 until 26 on Saturday at 11am and Sunday at 3pm. Casting at least 12 people 8ish and up.
Froggie must save his beloved, Miss Mousie, from that dastardly villain, Tom the Cat and his two evil henchmen, Bad Blood Bonnie and Retched Rachael. Our beautiful young heroine, Miss Mousie, has been forced to accept a marriage proposal by Tom in order to save her Grannie Rat. It is up to Froggie and his friends in Froggie Bottom, to stop the marriage and save Grannie before it is too late.
