Final Summer Concert Series On Saturday

The Shadowboxers will close out the 2016 series on Sept. 24 at the Newtown Park Amphitheater.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Saturday will be your final chance to enjoy Johns Creek's 2016 Summer Concert Series.

This year's installment will close out on Sept. 24 with The Shadowboxers, an Atlanta-based pop band, at the Newtown Park Amphitheater.

The band's musical approach comes out of a shared reverence for the sacred texts of rock and soul, from the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel to Stevie Wonder and D’Angelo.

According to www.NashvilleScene.com, they have the Tennessee town buzzing, thanks to their champions “include the Indigo Girls, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton and Memphis-bred buddy Justin Timberlake.”

While food and non-alcoholic drinks may be brought in, contracted vendors provide a variety of catered food and beverages, including beer and wine.

The Cattywampus Grill food truck will be on-site selling food and Sno Bayou will be the on-site treats vendor. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome on the terraced lawn.

The concerts are free, and the gates open at 6 p.m. Music starts at 7 p.m. with School of Rock as the opening act and The Shaddowboxers to follow.
