“I am enthusiastic and quite proud of the work of our entire Board of Commissioners, and more importantly the rank and file workers who make this happen every day for our citizens,” said County Commission Chairman John Eaves. “We plan to continue to be the leader in metro Atlanta and in the Southeastern United States when it comes to engaging the public and improving governmental transparency.”
This NACO Civic Education and Public Information Award acknowledges Fulton County as a national leader in government transparency and constituent engagement. This accolade has allowed for discussions within the Fulton County Finance Department to be focused on employing the platform's capabilities around fiscal transparency and converse with surrounding areas, such as Alpharetta, East Point, and John's Creek, on collaborating to share public data using a common platform.
