Fulton Deputy Superintendent To Lead Colorado School District

Dr. Rob Anderson, deputy superintendent of academics, has been with Fulton County Schools for six years.

FULTON COUNTY, GA — Fulton County Deputy Superintendent of Academics Dr. Rob Anderson has been chosen to lead the Boulder Valley, Colorado School District. Dr. Anderson is slated to begin this new position on July 1, the Fulton County School System said.

“I’m thrilled and honored to have been selected to lead Boulder Valley schools,” Dr. Anderson said immediately following the announcement. “I look forward to working with the community toward a vision of equity and excellence for all students.”

Dr. Anderson joined Fulton County Schools six years ago as chief of staff. He later led the Northeast Learning Community as area superintendent, which includes schools in Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Roswell (For more news like this, find your local Patch here. For the past three years, he has served as deputy superintendent, overseeing teaching and learning, student support services, accountability and governance and information technology. He began his career 21 years ago as a math and science teacher in Orlando, Florida.

“Dr. Anderson has been a passionate and dedicated member of my executive cabinet, and a valuable partner for me in our work,” said Fulton County Schools Superintendent Jeff Rose. “I am pleased that he has been offered this extraordinary opportunity to lead the Boulder Valley School District. His leadership has been important to our most recent academic gains and the structured supports we are providing our schools. He is a man of integrity, and I am very proud of him.”

Dr. Anderson will continue focusing on meeting the goals and objectives outlined in the FCS Strategic Plan 2022 until leaving for Colorado in July. His successor will be named in the near future.
