“Volunteers are a backbone of our community schools,” said Kenneth Zeff, interim superintendent. “Our teachers couldn’t be as effective in educating students without their support and assistance. We are grateful to the Atlanta Hawks for helping us create a meaningful event that shows our appreciation.”
More than 200 principals, school leaders, school board members and volunteers from all areas of the school system attended Friday's event.
