Fulton Schools Open Enrollment Deadline is May 16

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The Fulton County School System has identified 31 schools that can accept transfer students next school year through Georgia’s Quality Basic Education Act.

Approved in 2009, the Intra-District School Choice section of the law allows parents of students enrolled in a public K-12 school to enroll in another school within the district if space allows. Schools eligible for the open enrollment process for the 2016-17 school year are:

Elementary schools

• Abbotts Hill Elementary School
• Bethune Elementary School
• Dolvin Elementary School
• Esther Jackson Elementary School
• Findley Oaks Elementary School
• Hapeville Elementary School
• Heards Ferry Elementary School
• Highway 9 Elementary School Site
• Hillside Elementary School
• Ocee Elementary School
• Shakerag Elementary School
• Spalding Drive Elementary School
• Wilson Creek Elementary School

Middle schools

• Camp Creek Middle School
• Elkins Pointe Middle School
• Holcomb Bridge Middle School
• McNair Middle School
• Paul D. West Middle School
• Renaissance Middle School
• Ridgeview Middle School
• Sandtown Middle School
• Sandy Springs Middle School
• Taylor Road Middle School
• Woodland Middle School

High schools

• Alpharetta High School
• Banneker High School
• Creekside High School
• Langston Hughes High School
• North Springs High School
• Northview High School
• Tri-Cities High School

Transfer applications are now available online, and the application deadline is 4:30 p.m. May 16. Parents will be notified of their child’s status by June 30.
