Monetary prizes range from $25 to $500, and competition is open to Fulton students in grades 3-12 as individuals or teams of two.
The FCS Mobile Appathon aims to develop and recognize talented students while providing an outlet for their creative energy. The event also is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their technology-related skills and provide a venue for them to channel their technology interests in a positive and productive direction. The event highlights Fulton County School’s strong focus on STEM education.
The FCS Mobile Appathon is presented by TAG HackLab, a new program of the Technology Association of Georgia that helps organizations plan, promote, and implement events where students can hone their technology skills. Other event sponsors include Aruba Networks, Hewlett-Packard and the Fulton Education Foundation.
