GDOT To Close Lanes On I-285, GA-400 in North Fulton

The state Department of Transportation advises motorists to exercise caution by reducing speed while driving through work zones.

This weekend, the Georgia Department of Transportation will continue its projects to improve metro Atlanta highway infrastructure that will require crews to close lanes along these major thoroughfares.

Two of these lane closure areas will take place in Sandy Springs.

The agency will close two eastbound lanes along Interstate 285 between Glenridge Drive and the S.R. 400 interchange from 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 10 to 7 a.m. Saturday, July 11.

Additionally, two northbound and two southbound lanes will close along S.R. 400 at the Northridge Road interchange from 9 p.m. Friday, July 10 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 13.

Further south along S.R. 400, two southbound lanes will close from Lenox Road to Sidney Marcus Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, July 12.

If you have to travel within these areas, GDOT advises you to exercise caution by reducing speed while driving through work zones.
