GDOT To Host Open House For Abbotts Bridge Road Widening Project

The state agency will host the informal meeting on Thursday, July 23 at Johns Creek City Hall.

The Georgia Department of Transportation on Thursday will conduct a public information open house on a project that would widen a state thoroughfare in Johns Creek and Duluth.

The informal open house will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 23 at Johns Creek City Hall.

GDOT plans to widen S.R. 120/Abbotts Bridge Road from two to four lanes between S.R. 141/Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Gwinnett County.

The public can ask questions and leave comments about the proposed project, which will also include sidewalks, bike lanes and a roundabout at Parsons Road and Wilson Road, GDOT Project Manager Sam Samu said.

“We encourage residents to attend the open house to learn more about the proposed project and give their input,” the project manager added.

Residents can record their comments at the open house. Written statements can also be submitted until Monday, Aug. 24 to:
