The event, which brings together local public and private schools and North Fulton area businesses to discuss partnership opportunities, will kick off at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26 at AdvancED, located at 9115 Westside Parkway in Alpharetta.

In its fourth year, the event introduces small and medium-sized businesses to the “importance of developing and sustaining partnerships with local schools, while underscoring the benefit to students and to the business community,” Fulton County Schools said.

“The partnerships our schools share with local businesses represent an important link between what occurs in our schools every day to the relevant, real-life experiences and opportunities that will be available to them in the future,” said Fulton County Schools Interim Superintendent Kenneth Zeff. “We value the support that our partnerships offer our schools and our students, and we want to encourage others to join us.”

A portion of the Expo, which is free and open to Chamber and non-Chamber members, will be organized in an exhibit-hall format. Representatives from North Fulton public and private schools will be available to meet with businesses, share their strategic plans and identify specific needs of their schools. The goal is to encourage and to help facilitate lasting partnerships with the schools and the business community.

“This event has historically been an enormous success, so we welcome the opportunity to bring on additional partners who can help meet some of the needs of our schools,” school board member Katie Reeves added. “The Greater North Fulton Chamber has been wonderful in helping us build bridges and relationships with the future employers in our community. Our partnerships enhance our students’ learning and reinforce what our schools are providing them. So, it’s a win-win for everyone.”

The Expo is hosted by the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce’s Education Connection Committee.
