Plans are underway to construct a trail that would encompass Findley Oaks Elementary School, and organizers with Tyler’s Way are selling commemorative bricks that would be used in the project.

Plans call for a professionally constructed path, over a half mile long to circle the school property. Although exact details of the trail are still being developed, it will consist of character markers, memory pavers and several areas to reflect.

The trail will be a safe and comfortable path for the community to use at its leisure, and brick pavers will be located at the entrance of the trail as well as other areas throughout.

The Tyler’s Way Foundation’s mission is to promote character in children, support community and embrace families of loss. The organization is named in honor of Tyler Safarriyeh, an 11-year-old fifth grade Findley Oaks student who passed away in 2011 during a snow skiing accident.

Residents can place brick orders online.
