Annual event will be during the Chattahoochee vs. Johns Creek football game Friday, Oct. 9

Chattahoochee High School raises awareness for Breast Cancer at for their annual PINK-OUT in the fight against cancer at the Chattahoochee vs Johns Creek football game on Friday Oct 9th. At this year’s event knights from Medieval Times will join us to honor those who have been affected by breast cancer.

The Chattahoochee Cougars take on the Gladiators from Johns Creek at the Hooch Arena in a community football rivalry on Friday Oct 9 at 7:30pm. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, Chattahoochee is raising awareness with their annual Pink Out game and pre-game event. For the event Chattahoochee is selling pink t-shirts, especially designed by their graphic arts students, collecting donations during the game. Proceeds will go to the Northside Hospital Breast Care Center.

The entire Hooch Arena will be regaled in pink. Fans, players, cheerleaders, band members and coaches, and even the Medieval Knights, will wear pink in support of this worthy cause. Pink crowns, courtesy of Medieval Times, will be worn by several attendees.

A special presentation honoring all breast cancer survivors and those that have lost their battle, will take place before the game at 7:00pm. Over the past few years the Chattahoochee Pink Out has shown the love and support of the community. “Every year the community support grows stronger as we raise awareness for people to get mammograms, perform self examinations and support others in their time of need. It is very touching and demonstrates the love within the Hooch family” says Denise Fusco, long time supporter and organizer of the Chattahoochee Pink Out event.

During the ceremony survivors and those being honored will be recognized with a special pink balloon release.
