Hooch Quiz Bowl Team Excels at National Competitions
No other team has ever been ranked as high in either tournament in the history of the Georgia Quiz Bowl
The Chattahoochee High School Quiz Bowl team recently excelled in two national championship tournaments that use different formats.
After earning a school-best fifth-place finish at the High School National Championship Tournament in Atlanta, the Quiz Bowl team went on to have their best finish ever at the PACE National Championship in Chicago June 10.
This year, the Hooch team made it to the PACE championship division for the first time, finishing eighth in the nation. No other team has ever been ranked as high in either tournament in the history of the Georgia Quiz Bowl, said Michael Mathis, Quiz Bowl coach.
