Hooch’s Dhom Will Play Lacrosse at DII Regis in Denver

A four-year varsity lacrosse and basketball player, Dhom served as co-captain for both teams as senior

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Chattahoochee High School’s Sarah Kate Dhom has signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Regis University in Denver. Regis, an NCAA Division II school, recently clenched the 2017 championship in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Regis Rangers, ranked 8th in the IWLCA, earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Dhom, a four-year varsity starter for the Cougars, helped Hooch lacrosse win three consecutive area championships with three appearances in the state quarterfinals and one appearance in the state semifinal. In addition to lacrosse, Dhom was also a four-year varsity basketball player whose team qualified for state last year and playedthrough to the Elite Eight round in the 2017 state tournament.

Wrapping up her senior year at Chattahoochee, Dhom served as co-captain on both the basketball and lacrosse teams, earned the Elite Letterman Award, Academic Athlete Award, was a member of the Defense All-State team, represented Georgia on the 2016 National Team and played in the 2017 DiVarsity All-Star Lacrosse game. Dhom has given her spare time to the Cougar 2 Cougar program and Special Olympics and also assisted coaches and mentored players in the Jr. Cougar lacrosse program. A year-round player, she has played club lacrosse with the Hotlanta, Jr. Cougars, X-Team and LB3 teams. She plans to pursue a bachelor of sciences degree in neuroscience or environmental science.
