Chattahoochee HS Senior Jacob Green signs with Southern Illinois University to play Football

Chattahoochee High School's Jake Green has signed a national letter of intent to play Football for Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. Southern Illinois is a member of the NCAA Division I Missouri Valley Conference.

Green has been an offensive lineman on Chattahoochee's varsity team since he was a freshman and has earned four varsity letters. During the 2017 season, he was named to the GHSA 1st Team All Region Team and played in the Rising Senior All Star Game. In his senior year, Green, again, was named to the GHSA 1st Team All Region Team, also named to the 2018-2019 GACA All State Team and was selected to participate in the GACA North vs. South All Star Game. He serves as a Cougar-2-Cougar mentor for the Jr. Cougar Football program. He is also on the Varsity Track and Field team for Shot Put and Discus and made it to sectionals last year. He plans on making it to the State finals this season.

Green would like to thank his family for supporting him throughout his High School career and his coaches for developing him into the player he is today.
