Hooch's Kern to Play Baseball at Piedmont

Chattahoochee's Griffin Kern has committed to play baseball at Piedmont College.

Chattahoochee High School’s Griffin Kern has accepted an academic scholarship to Piedmont College, where he will play NCAA DIII baseball, competing in the USA South Conference.

Kern, a four-year letterman, received 6-AAAAAA regional recognition for the past three years. He was named Second Team All Region his sophomore year, Honorable Mention his junior year, and, as a senior, earned First Team All Region honors.

Kern, the recipient of the 2015 Cougar Award (Baseball), was also named CHS Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 and 2015. He played summer baseball for Team DeMarini and Team Georgia Baseball Academy.
