Chattahoochee High School’s Kaley Weir has committed to play NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. Weir will play goalie for the Spartan’s Women’s Lacrosse team, which currently competes in the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference.
A four-year lacrosse letterman, Weir was named varsity captain in 2015 and has helped lead the Lady Cougars to Area Championships in 2012, 2014 and 2015. As a senior, she was nominated and selected to participate in the Georgia All-Star game, where the team pulled off a hard-fought 13-12 victory. Weir also made the 2015 Second Team All State roster, received the 2015 CHS Coach’s Award, and was named Defensive Player of the Year as a freshman.
A year-round lacrosse player for four years, Weir spent her first summer with The ATL before playing the past three summers for the Georgia Outlaws. An honor-roll student who maintained a 4.0 GPA her junior and senior years, Weir now coaches for both the Georgia Outlaws and the CHS Junior Cougars.
