ICYMI: Johns Creek, North Fulton Food Service Scores

The Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness conducted food service inspections June 15-22 at the following establishments:

5 Season's Brewing (Food Service Inspections)*

View inspections: June 20, 2016 Score: 77, Grade: C

• Person in charge observed unable to answer required food service/safety questions pertaining to risk factors (common). (i.e.: sanitizing solution, temperatures cold holding and hot).
• Observed several potentially hazardous food items stored in walk-in cooler (see temp log) above 41 degrees F, date-marked past 24 hour storage.
• Observed in walk-in cooler/reach-in cooler gaskets and door shields torn and in disrepair. Make necessary corrections. Observed ice machine broken/in disrepair. Replace, repair or remove.
• Observed (reach-in cooler gaskets, crevices of equipment, hood vents, etc) non-food contact surfaces with excessive accumulation of food, liquid and grease debris. Establish frequent routine cleaning schedule of all non-food contact surfaces to include equipment, floors walls and ceilings.
• observed in main grill prep area handwash sink with no hot running water (nozzle broken) also in server waiting station, no operable hot water (nozzle stuck). Repair immediately
• Observed holes and cracks in floors, walls and ceilings throughout kitchen area- seal and secure.
• Observed evidence of pest/rodent/insect intrusion. Also rear exit door observed propped open. Contact pest control provider for treatment.

• Soda nozzle tips at machine have build-up of mold. Increase cleaning frequency of machine, using disinfectant.
• Observed build-up of material on can opener blade.
• Observed food being cooled with inappropriate method. When placing in walk-in cooler to chill, do not tightly secure lid, turn slightly to allow circulation of cooler air to facilitate cooling. Once cooled to 41 degrees, then secure lid.
• Opened cans of foods and sauces. Once opened, transfer unused portions to food-grade containers, do not leave in can.
• General (thorough) cleaning needed of shelving, counters, gaskets, etc.
• General (thorough) cleaning of kitchen facility needed.
• Improper ceiling tiles in kitchen, must be food-service grade.
• Older facility, in need of general cleaning of kitchen facility. Food debris build-up observed on and around equipment.
