Intermittent Lane Closures Planned For McGinnis Ferry Road

The closure is needed so a private contractor can install turn lanes for the new Brookmere subdivision in Johns Creek.

Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures on McGinnis Ferry Road in both directions near Bell Road on Saturday as a private contractor puts in turn lanes for the new Brookmere subdivision.

The lane closures, which will occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 15, will be staggered so they don’t happen at the same time, the city of Johns Creek said Friday on its Facebook page.

Additionally, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17 through Friday, Aug. 21, the contractor will intermittently close one eastbound lane of McGinnis Ferry Road to continue working on a turn lane for Brookmere, the city added.

Residents should consider finding alternate routes to avoid expected delays.
