JC Symphony's Season 5 Debuts Saturday

Season 5 of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra kicks off Saturday with a cello concerto.

The on Saturday with a cello concerto that is sure to "delight and inspire." 

"Be prepared to experience the exceptional musicality of the JCSO," said Sue Haggerty, the JCSO's executive director. "This diverse program of works from some of our world's greatest music masters will delight and inspire. Don't miss this extraordinary concert."

"Masterworks!" is Saturday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. at and features Haydn’s Concerto in C Major for Cello and OrchestraRosamunde Overture by Schubert and Mendelssohn’s Incidental Music for a Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Meghan McGuire, principal cellist, is the concert's featured soloist. Maestro J. Wayne Baughman will lead the orchestra.

This is the first JCSO guest performance for McGuire, who has performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Savannah Philharmonic, the Minnesota Orchestra and with Yo-Yo Ma.
