JCHS Girls Lacrosse Senior Night 2020
Senior Night for Johns Creek High School Girls Lacrosse team
On Friday, April 24 at 8:20 PM, the stadium lights of Johns Creek High School will turn on, but not for the girls lacrosse team to take the field and play a game and be honored during Senior Night, but rather is being lit to honor the entire 2020 class. But tonight's lighting will hold a significant meaning for a group of 12 senior athletes which would have been their night to be recognized on that field under those lights playing in their last regular season home game as a Johns Creek High School Gladiator Lacrosse player .
Last Friday, April 17 at 8:20 PM and every Friday night until June 2 at 8:20 PM (for twenty minutes), Johns Creek High School will be lighting up their high school stadium to honor all the seniors at the school and recognize them for their hard work during their time in high school.
Tonight is bitter sweet as there will not be the normal senior recognition, however, earlier in the day, the coaches and parents did an amazing job with a drive by parade at every one of the senior girls homes and what a thrill it was for each and everyone of them, parents included. This lacrosse team, with a full roster of amazingly talented players was coming off a winning season with a region title and redemption in their eyes for getting farther in state this season. The season had only begun and they were 2-0 in the region when it all came to a screeching halt with COVID-19 on March 12.
