The completion of this project will allow amphitheater patrons to use restroom facilities that are closer to their location, the city said.

The facility would be to the right and the rear of the actual amphitheater, Public Works Director Tom Black told the City Council at its work session before the meeting.

Mayor Mike Bodker added the new facility will allow residents to access restrooms without having to leave the amphitheater and provides the opportunity for the city to serve concessions.

Additionally, if city leaders decide, Bodker stated the addition will give the city a place to collect tickets for events.
