Johns Creek Celebrates 10th Birthday On Saturday

The city's event, which is free and open to the public, will kick off at 5 p.m. Nov. 5 at Johns Creek High School.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- It's been nearly 10 years since the city of Johns Creek incorporated, and you are invited to attend the party scheduled to celebrate that milestone.

The city's 10-Year Anniversary Celebration will kick off at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at Johns Creek High School.

You can expect a parachutist, live musical performances by the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, a Battle of the Bands between Johns Creek High School and Centennial High School and School of Rock.

The parachutist is expected to jump promptly at 5 p.m.

Guest speakers include Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker, State Transportation Board member Mark Burkhalter, Karyn Greer and Miss Georgia 2016 Patricia Ford.

Greer will also serve as the event's emcee.

The event and parking is free. Handicap drop-off and parking will be available at the entrance to the Johns Creek High School stadium at 5575 State Bridge Road.

Overflow parking will be available at State Bridge Crossing Elementary School, located directly across the street from the high school.
