Johns Creek Civitan Club Honors Special Needs Teachers
Fulton County Schools educators, who teach in Johns Creek, were named as 2019 Special Needs Teachers of the Year by Johns Creek Civitan.
JOHNS CREEK, GA — Four Fulton County Schools educators, who teach in Johns Creek, were named as 2019 Special Needs Teachers of the Year by the Johns Creek Civitan Club on April 30 at The County Club of the South.
There are 19 Fulton County Schools that serve the residents of Johns Creek and the teachers were nominated by their respective principals. The Civitan Club selected two teachers among the 11 elementary schools, one from the four middle schools, and one from the four high schools to honor.
The four Johns Creek Civitan Club Special Needs Teachers of the Year include Beth Cascio, Dolvin Elementary; Carolina Aviles, Medlock Bridge Elementary; Elise Kreitner, Autrey Mill Middle School; and Katie Thompson, Northview High School.

“The Johns Creek Civitan Club is proud to honor these teachers,” Terry Crouch, President-
Elect of the Johns Creek Civitan Club, said in a release. “The Johns Creek Special Needs Teacher of the Year award is our effort to highlight the important work these individuals do for the students.”

All of the Johns Creek Special Needs Teacher of the Year nominees were also honored at the
breakfast. Nominees included Livia Muse-Johnson, Abbotts Hill Elementary; Nicole Golante,
Barnwell Elementary; Beth Cascio, Dolvin Elementary; Karen Kennedy, State Bridge Crossing
Elementary; Carolina Aviles, Medlock Bridge Elementary; Stacie Vincent, Wilson Creek
Elementary; Brian Jennings, Findley Oaks Elementary; Sarah Mann, Shakerag Elementary;
Elise Krietner, Autrey Mill Middle; Kelly Standridge, Taylor Road Middle School; Heather Wright,
River Trail Middle; Shaney Malloy, Johns Creek High School; and Katie Thompson, Northview
High School.
