Johns Creek Foundation Elects New Officers
Wayne Carrel will serve as president of the organization and James Saffell will serve as treasurer.

Two new faces have been elected to the Johns Creek Foundation’s Board of Director.
Wayne Carrel, president and CEO of A ClearView Corporation, has been chosen as the group’s president while James Saffell, who is retired from BellSouth Corporation, has also been tapped to serve as treasurer.

Carrel has been a board member for the past three years, and has been instrumental in the fundraising and success of the annual gala. Saffell has been a member of the board for the last two years bringing a strong community background contributing to the Foundation’s vision.
Both gentlemen are longtime residents of Johns Creek, have served in many other non-profit and civic organizations and are joined on the board by Vicki Templet, Sandeep Vohra, Rob Anderson, John Bemont and ex-officio members, Mayor Mike Bodker and Mayor Pro-Tem Steve Broadbent.

On Nov. 6, the Foundation will hold its annual gala at the Atlanta Athletic Club, which raises funds from residents and businesses in the community. The money is given back to various organizations and projects.
In the last seven years, the Foundation has invested over $125,000 into the community through programs as varied as the summer arts camp at Johns Creek Arts Center to the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve.
The Johns Creek Foundation seeks to promote excellence in the quality of life for the citizens and business of Johns Creek by encouraging and directing financial support to endeavors that enhance recreational and cultural growth, and strengthen our unique community identity and spirit.
