4th of July: Johns Creek Plans First-Ever Celebration
The city's event will be held Saturday, July 1 at Newtown Park.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The city of Johns Creek is preparing to host its first-ever event commemorating Independence Day.
The city's Independence Day Concert & Picnic will get underway at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 1 at Newtown Park. Residents can grab a few friends, pick out a spot on the terraced amphitheater lawn and enjoy your own picnic or bites from Flatbread Bistro, Angel Fire BBQ, and King of Pops food trucks.
Hurricane Grill will be serving cold beer and wine at the event. You can expect to kick back and take in the sounds of Band-X, who will rock the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater beginning at 7 p.m.

Band-X is a high-energy group of talented musicians and lead singers dedicated to providing interactive live entertainment. Playing hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and current favorites, Band X is well known for their high-energy performances sure to get you on your feet.
If that’s not enough, Johns Creek will top off the night with a fireworks extravaganza, which will begin after sunset.
