JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The city of Johns Creek continues to gain accolades for its exceptional schools, quality of life and low crime.

Niche.com has released its 2016 Best Suburbs To Live in Georgia, and Johns Creek clocks in at No. 4 on the list.

Niche uses data compiled by sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and other entities.

It also takes into account several factors when it considers adding cities to its list, including how local schools perform, crime rates, housing trends, employment rates and access to amenities.

It also reviews such as cost of living, the percentage of residents who have received a bachelor's degree or higher, job opportunities, commute times and nightlife.

The top 10 in the list includes:

  1. Decatur
  2. Big Creek (Forsyth County)
  3. Alpharetta
  4. Johns Creek
  5. Northeast Cobb (unincorporated)
  6. Smyrna
  7. Roswell
  8. Milton
  9. Vinings
  10. Mableton

Other metro Atlanta cities in the list include Duluth at 11, Peachtree Corners at 12, Dunwoody at 15, Sandy Springs at 18, Woodstock at 19 and Marietta at 24. Check out the full list here.
