Johns Creek Police Blotter
Here's a sampling of arrests and incidents recently reported by Johns Creek police. None of the persons named have been convicted of a crime.

Burglaries:
On Jan. 31 a resident on Rotherick Drive reported a burglary at his home. He stated that he had left his home secured and activated his alarm system. When he returned his home had been ransacked and several items stolen. The responding officer stated that the point of entry appeared to be a side entry garage door which was missing a glass pane from a previous incident. The secondary entry appeared to be the door from inside the garage to the main living area. The door was forced open by a cement block and the alarm pane was pulled from the wall and the alarm wire cut to block communication with the alarm company. Items stolen from the residence included a X-Box ($299), a Sony Playstation ($399), two flatscreen TVs ($900 and $2,000), a wireless printer ($200), a Sony laptop ($1,500), two pairs of Nike sneakers ($90 each), DVDs ($600) and video games ($1,200).
On Feb. 2 a resident on Nesbit Place reported a neighboring townhome broken into. He said when he left for work the door was seen secure, and when he returned found it open. The responding officer found the home ransacked. It is unknown if anything was taken. The neighbor said the owner had moved out in 2007 and no one lives at the residence.

On Feb. 4 a resident on Hanstedt Trace reported that when she arrived home from work she found that her front door had been egged. The she went inside she discovered an empty egg carton in the family room near one of the front windows. The responded officer reported one of the front windows shattered. Nothing else appeared out of place. The resident was unable to identify any missing items. She state that the back door was unlocked and that it was left locked before she went to work. The egg carton was taken into evidence.

On Feb. 2 a resident on South Preston Court reported his Apple iPod, valued at $300, stolen from his car, which had been left unlocked overnight. There were no signs of forced entry.
On Feb. 4 a resident on Grovehurst Drive reported her Garmin navigation system, valued at $340, stolen from her vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry. The resident stated that she is unsure of where the theft took place.
On Feb. 4 an Alpharetta resident reported a car break-in in progress off Medlock Bridge Road. The witness stated that he saw a suspicious person walking around cars in the middle of the parking lot near . The witness followed the suspect and caught him searching through a silver Honda Civic. The witness asked the suspect his name, and the suspect ran toward Uptown Loft and was not seen again. The responding police officer could not locate the Honda's owner, so he left a card inside the unlocked car asking the driver to call. The officer stated the owner later called and reported an Apple iPod, valued at $400, stolen along with a cable and headphones. The owner stated he had locked his car prior to going into .
DUIs:
Matthew McCarthy, 42, of Lawrenceville, was arrested Feb. 1 on Old Alabama Road for DUI.
Denise M. Harker, 56, of Alpharetta, was arrested Feb. 1 on Morton Road for DUI and hit and run.
Amy Lacille Norman, 36, of Berkeley Lake, was arrested Feb. 2 on Medlock Bridge Road for DUI.
Jonathan Matthew Richards, 37, of Norcross, was arrested Feb. 4 on State Bridge Road for DUI.
Charlene Michelle Odell, 41, of Smyrna, was arrested Feb. 5 on Old Alabama Road for DUI.
Drugs:
David Patrick Meredith, 32, of Blue Ridge, was arrested Feb. 3 on Medlock Bridge Road for possession of marijuana.
