Blotter: Dine and Dash, Apartment Break-Ins

Thefts

On Feb. 16 a manager of the reported that two young adults told her they needed to go to their car and get their money when they had finished dining. Instead the pair ran out of the restaurant, entered the vehicle and left without paying. A third person was dining with the pair, but had paid for his meal separately with a credit card. The manager had stated that earlier in the evening one of her drivers delivered food to a residence, and that the driver stated that the third party was at that location.

On Feb. 16 a resident of Century State Bridge Apartments reported that she was asleep when she was awoken by someone knocking on the door. When she got to the door someone was attempting to enter the apartment by prying open the door. When the suspects heard someone in the apartment they ran downstairs. The resident looked out the window and saw a black female running to a small four-door silver window with dark tinted windows, and it appeared that a black male was driving. The female was wearing black leggings and black boots.

On Feb. 16 a maintenance worker at Century State Bridge Apartments reported that he was replacing a filter in an apartment when he noticed a flyer for a next-door apartment wasn't in the door. When he went to place the flyer in the door he noticed pry marks near the deadbolt and that the door was ajar. Responding police reported that the apartment had been ransacked. The rental office made contact with the resident, who was out of town, and stated that the door would be made secure.

On Feb. 16 a resident of reported that when he arrived at his apartment it had been ransacked. The resident stated that a large amount of loose gold and cash had been stolen along with a television and Playstation.

On Feb. 16 a resident on Waterville Court reported that he arrived home and parked in front of his building when he noticed a black female wearing black boots walk from the back of the building with a basket of dark green towels and get into a silver vehicle. When he walked to his residence he noticed the front door was slightly open with pry marks around the door knob. His residence had been rummaged through and his big-screen TV was stolen. He then noticed his dark green towels and a Dell laptop had also been stolen. The resident told police that he noticed the suspects had used the towels to cover big items in the car.

Vehicle Break-Ins

On Feb. 13 a vehicle was reported broken into while parked on Chesterton Circle. An amplifier and subwoofer were reported stolen.

On Feb. 13 a vehicle was reported broken into while parked at . A purse containing driver's license, debit card and eyeglasses was reported stolen.

On Feb. 13 a vehicle was reported broken into while parked on Knollcrest Boulevard. The vehicle had been ransacked, but nothing was reported stolen.

On Feb. 13 a vehicle was reported broken into while parked on Chelsen Wood Drive. A lacrosse bag, hockey gloves and helmet and iPhone were reported stolen.

On Feb. 13 two vehicles parked at one residence on Coacoochee Terrace were reported broken into. A pair of Rayban prescription glasses, wall, DVD player, debit card and camera were reported stolen.

On Feb. 14 a vehicle parked on Dapplegate Way was reported broken into. A semi-automatic pistol was reported stolen.

On Feb. 16 a vehicle parked in a garage on Chelsen Wood Drive was reported broken into. The victim stated that she could not remember if her garage door was closed nor if the vehicle was locked. A purse containing cash and Costa sunglasses was reported stolen.

On Feb. 18 a vehicle parked at was reported broken into. A purse containing cash, credit and debit cards and a Sprint phone was reported stolen. 

On Feb. 18 a vehicle parked at was reported broken into. A Phantom keyboard, an Apoge Duet audio interface, Playstation and Playstation games were reported stolen.
