Blotter: Bike Stolen, Recovered After Confrontation

The following information was supplied by the Johns Creek Police Department.

Thefts

On March 13 a man told police that he parked his bicycle at State Bridge Elementary School to go on a quick run, and when he returned the bike was gone. The victim said he began running east on State Bridge Road to try and find his bike. He said he saw a man riding his bike at the intersection of Medlock Bridge and State Bridge. The victim told police he confronted the man and told him he wanted his bicycle back. The suspect left the bicycle and began walking through the Publix shopping center at 5805 State Bridge Road. The victim said the suspect threatened to call his friends to fight the victim, who followed the suspect to Camden River Apartments. The victim returned to the shopping center to call police, who were unable to locate the suspect after talking with residents of the apartment building. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s with a buzzed haircut and dark beard, about 5'11" tall and 180 pounds.

On March 14 a customer at LA Fitness, 11720 Medlock Bridge Road, reported his locker, which had been secured with a combination padlock, broken into. However, the victim stated that the combination sticker was still on the lock. $200 was stolen from his wallet.

Vehicle Break-In

On March 7 a vehicle parked at All Star Performing Arts, 4680 Morton Road, was reported broken into. A GPS unit, CDs and sunglasses were stolen.

Trespass

On March 16 a resident on Falling Creek Bend told police that someone egged his home and three vehicles overnight with about a dozen eggs.
