Police Identify Man Caught Near Findley Oaks ES After Search
The Johns Creek Police and Forsyth Sheriff's Office have arrested a man they say fled on foot Wednesday morning on felony charges.
JOHNS CREEK, GA — The Johns Creek Police and Forsyth Sheriff's Office arrested Jonathan Castillo near Findley Oaks Elementary School around 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8. Castillo fled on foot this morning on felony charges after a traffic stop recovered guns and drugs.
The Sheriff's Office said the traffic stop was around 1 a.m. and Castillo hid since he fled near the Forsyth County/Johns Creek line. Officials searched the McGinnis Ferry Road/Lakefield Drive area, and ultimately found him near Findley Oaks Elementary School.
Readers are reporting dozens of police cars, SWAT team, K9 units and helicopters in the area. Local schools were reportedly on lock down.
