The Johns Creek Police Department will partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the National Take Back initiative on Saturday, April 30.
“We’re seeing a frightening surge in heroin abuse in Johns Creek and a lot of that gets started from people abusing pain medication,” said Johns Creek police officer M.D. Meberg. “This is a way for people to get rid of old or expired medications so they’re not sitting in a cabinet for some family member to get ahold of and start on that dark road to addiction.”
